Basically a 'firebird' species from one of my online RPs Maliker [link]

these are not pheonixes, they dont burst into flames and be reborn when they die.

This particular one is named Lullabye, he belongs to a character of mine named rayne bjork, he is a copper firebird.

INFO FROM MAL: (Aka: not mine)
Firebirds aren’t creatures specialized for any sort of lifestyle, but are unique birds nonetheless. These creatures are falcon-sized, having the intelligence to learn a few words and use them for specific descriptions. They are often used to scout around areas, and maybe even recon missions.

Firebirds, in general, always have four eyes, and can focus on different things by closing and opening their eyes. Their heads are elongated to make room for the eyes, as well. Firebird beaks are shaped like a falcon’s or hawk’s, curving over at the end so that they can tear apart their prey. Firebirds have wings built for a mix between speed and endurance, compromising for a build that lets them hunt easier. All firebirds have three claws on their wings, gathered in a hand. These claws are remnants of their ancestors, and used to hunt and hold onto things like ledges or tree trunks.

Male firebirds are red-gold in color, and have a metallic sheen to their feathers, especially near the tips. They also have some peacock-like feathers on their wings. These particular feathers are extremely colorful and bright, and are used to attract females. The males have a multi-colored crest on their heads, which is used to both scare off rivals and attract females. The brighter the colors, the healthier and fitter the firebird is. Male firebirds are not considered useful in most scouting missions because they are easier to notice, but are popular in the exotic pet trade because of their colors and patterns.

Female firebirds are almost the exact opposite of the males, having duller colors of grays and browns. They have no peacock-like feathers and no feathered crest. However, they’re better adapted to hunting than the males, because they camouflage better and are less noticeable and harder to see. Female firebirds are great for military activity, as they are good for scouting missions and are stronger and bigger than the males.
